La Tana dell Orso – Ponte di Legno / Incredible Nature Spa

The name of the hotel translated to English is “The Bear’s Lair”. We previously stopped for lunch at this hotel and restaurant in 2021 but didn’t have the option of using all the facilities or staying. The hotel is just a stone’s throw north of the town and is actually on the Ski Piste which is also the Mountain Bike Trail! This means that if you stay in the hotel, technically it’s ski in / ski out, which is incredible. They have storage for mountain bikes and I also assume for ski equipment when you’re guests in the hotel. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, so please check out our photos and also the hotels own website. The key feature of the hotel is the wonderful outdoor spa area which can be seen from the outdoor seating area and also from the ski slope. The outdoor spa area has numerous private seating areas and wood fired hot tubs. There is also a fantastic wood fired sauna! You would never imagine inside the hotel, in the basement that there is a full spa with massage rooms and many treatments on offer. There is also a wonderful swimming pool with Jacuzzi area and a massage waterfall. We are so happy to have been and stayed at the hotel, ate in the restaurant and been able to write such a wonderful review. This place really is incredible and we highly recommend it to everyone. It’s a kind of place where you can spend a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday. One of those magic venues. If you’re planning a ski holiday, this hotel would be the perfect place to stay with wonderful ski slopes right outside the door!
