Water Sports day and Lunch on Lake Garda
Lake Garda is a fantastic place to be. You can be surrounded by wonderful people, fantastic restaurants, theme parks, and so much more. Due to the huge size of the lake everything feels a bit more free and easy and the rules seem to be a bit more relaxed. There is plenty of space for everybody to enjoy themselves, whether sailing, paddle boarding, swimming or using a jet ski/boat etc. We took the jet ski out with a group of friends for a watersports day, where we were able to take our huge inflatable ride on toy that we tow behind us while we go. This gave us lots of space for everybody and luckily, some of the group are real thrillseekers. Being in the southern part of the lake, we were able to explore all the different sides of Sirmione. This piece of land sticks out into the lake and is the home of a beautiful fortress, wonderful beaches (such as Jamaica beach), thermal spas, and a small town packed with restaurants, shops and so much more. We were able to drop anchor and swim to the shore to enjoy a fantastic lunch at one of the touristy restaurants. It was indeed a touristy restaurant but actually, the food was great and everybody had a wonderful day. The southern part of the lake where we have explored the most, saturated with many beaches that are all easy to get to by car. Why not explore either of the two big theme parks like Gardaland or movie land? The kids really love it. If it’s just the watersports you fancy, then look for some of the local companies that can offer wakeboarding, boat hire, sailing lessons and everything you can possibly imagine.
